It's great news for a nesting pair of barn owls who have laid their first eggs.
The eggs have been spotted with two eggs ready to hatch, thanks to a webcam at Lorton Meadows nature reserve in Weymouth.
A spokesperson for Dorset Wildlife Trust said: "We are so pleased to announce that the first two barn owl eggs have been laid.
"Keen barn owl webcam watchers spotted the first new addition to the nest box arrived over the weekend, with a second egg being laid on Monday night.
"Since then, the female barn owl has been busy incubating the eggs with her warmth, so we were lucky to capture this glimpse of the two small eggs to share with you all.
Anyone can tune in at any time to witness first-hand the behaviour of the barn owls, including preening, mating and feeding.
Webcam followers are encouraged to comment on the dedicated barn owl webcam Facebook page to share what they’ve seen and help build a picture of how the pair are getting on.
