A man has appeared in court after being found with an axe, crossbow and knife.
Stephen Adams, 33 and of Westcliff Road, Bournemouth, was found with a knife in Castletown on Portland on July 19, 2023.
Then on August 1, he was found in possession of a crossbow and arrows at The Esplanade in Weymouth on August 1, 2023.
Adams was found in possession of an axe, a lock knife and a Stanley knife in Weymouth town centre on October 31, 2023.
The defendant admitted one charge of possession of an offensive weapon in public and one charge of possessing a knife blade in a public place, and was found guilty of three charges of possessing a knife blade in a public place.
He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on Wednesday, April 3.
Adams was also sentenced for charges of sending a letter / communication / article conveying a threatening message to a woman in Dorset on November 26, 2022, and sending by public communication network an offensive / indecent / obscene / menacing message in Dorset on April 17, 2023.
He admitted both the charges.
The defendant was handed a 12-week jail sentence suspended for two years, and ordered to pay costs of £200 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A restraining order was made for the victim of the threatening communications.
